I can confirm these are awful and you'll be much quicker and cheaper with a good quality roller and doing it 'manually'!0

Yep they are awful, I wouldn't take it even if it was free, it would just be more junk in the shed, we tried to paint a lounge with one of these paint pods, more mess was created than you could imagine, we abandoned it after doing half a wall, oh and don't get me started on cleaning the thing !0

I feel so much better for reading the awful reviews about this!!Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

Painted 3 rooms with ours and not a drop was spilled...I think it's brilliant...HOWEVER I did have to return to B and Q for a replacement head and to Dulux for a replacement roller..no-cost.
I have complaints about the reliability of the unit but the actual functionality was superb.
Paid £18 for the POD last year...quite happy to get another one for free.
Not quite sure why some people are finding theirs made a mess.0 -
Ive had both the full size on and the compact one. The compact one is much better as the full size pod is a big cumberstom to move around. The finish was great also.0

Our full size paint pod went down to the tidy tip last week, having been sat unused in the shed for 2+ years.
Found it to be a complete pain in the backside to be honest.
Agree with the comments about having to put on multiple layers - think I did 3 layers and even then it didn't look great.
If I remember rightly, you're not supposed to use paint that isn't "paint pod" paint due to the thickness and make-up of it. That could just be a marketing ploy though.
Much easier to just get a roller and apply it manually!0 -
I can 100% confirm this is on Friday(friend works on the paint department), It's limited to 1 free paint pod per customer. The cheapest dulux product is the small tester pots which cost around £1.38!! & you will get the free paint pod compact!!0

This makes me so happy:T I had planned to paint my bathroom this August but got to August the 2nd and stupidly went into Topshop....result? no money for paint. This I am hoping will be enough for my cannot-swing-a-cat bathroom. Fingers crossed they have enough left for me- have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning!0 -
We have the compact one, bought it for a tenner and its brilliant. Its great for people with limited mobility cos they don`t have to keep climbing up and down ladders to load paint on their brushes or rollers etc.Its got good coverage too.0

Thought I'd just say, you better get to your local store EARLY as it's advertised in the national newspapers! Just looking at today's Metro online
Also Paintpod coloured emulsion 5L is £19.98 20-23rd August0
