rather than cut it off to the people who actually pay the taxes that allow it to be paid to grasping scroungers with 4 or 5 kids.
houses, could go up or down or stay the same.

I think they should make it means tested. It's a question of personal responsibility whether you have kids or not.0 -
Hey you two, I hear there's a vacancy at UKIP if you're interested. You sound like two very strong candidates.0

I thought you'd been banned.
Child benefit is anachronistic IMO. It came from a time when women with children found it very hard to earn a living and so were wholly dependant on men to provide for them. IMO it's mostly kept alive as a symbol because it was the beginning of modern feminism in the UK.0 -
I would limit it to 3 myself, all child based benfits cut to 3 children, YOU want more children... YOU pay for them.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

If you earn over a certain wage you don't need it. It is called a benefit for a reasonI used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

Not got any right now, the plan is 2 for me.
I just see how 2 makes sense but allowing 1 more seems fair enough.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

For once horsey you're being too soft. There shouldn't be any child benefit at all. They are far too many people in this country (and the world) squandering the world's resources. The government should be encouraging people to have less children not more by giving them child benefit, family tax credit and all the other nonsense.The_White_Horse wrote: »rather than cut it off to the people who actually pay the taxes that allow it to be paid to grasping scroungers with 4 or 5 kids.
