Moving Sky Box, Phone Line etc

Hi, I'm in the process of moving my study from the front of the house to the back. At the moment my phone line and sky+ are both coming through the wall at the front of the house, directly in to the study.

It is not possible to get under the floor of the hallway, so the wires cant be extended through the inside of the house.

I was wondering what is the best thing to do? Would Sky or an electrician be able to run the wires all the way round the outside of the house, and drill in through the back? Any ideas on the cost of this? Or any alternative solution?

I need to have Phone line, Sky (and the assosiated cables), plus broadband all in the room at the back of the house.

I've searched through the forum and found similar problems, but am not entirely sure the suggested solutions will work due to the rooms being on opposite ends to eachother.

Thanks very much for any help

This is an easy job for an independent, probably £60-100ish just run new cables from the dish to the rear, I would probably go through the loft and drop down the back wall.

Sky would do the work (badly) by launching the cables over your roof where they will wear away and look terrible, they would not extend the phone line.
  • Thanks, didnt realise would be so cheap! i'll call someone up!
