Anyone got a mobiel contract after BR?

I have been br nearly a year (09/09/09) When BR i phoned O2 up and asked if i could drop my payments, they said nope - told them i was BR and I could only afford £20 pm and if they did not accept it could go into BR - they nearly bit my hand off to keep me.
My contract run out last month and my payments went back up (they give me a £15 pm discount). I wanted a galaxy s and applied to dial a phone (if you dont ask......) and to my suprise was accepted - not even discharged yet.
BUT
Before I was BR (in 2005) i took out 2 contracts with dial a phone and never missed a payment and this application was linked so obviously no credit check as I used to be a good customer.
Moral of the story - if you have good history with the company you may be OK like I was.0
