Wrong.
I got an iPhone 3GS on contract 3 months after discharge.
Had to pay a £100 deposit to 02, which is refunded after 3 months.
I may be wrong in this instance and good luck to you, but my daughter works for o2 and their general rule is that they will not entertain anyone who has been BR until the BR drops off their file.:):pB&SC No. 298

Haven't tried mobile but got my Virgin Media (b-band/tv/landline) account okay, so assume adding a contract mobile wouldn't be a problem.
Since BR, I've had a Vodafone PAYG which has worked out cheaper than I was paying on contract so shop around.Remember:

Hi, in my experience I was able to keep my contract going throughout the time I was BR.
In addition to this when the contract was up (Vodafone, middle of BR) they were happy to keep the contract going and I even changed tarif.
This was 5 years ago though.
That said, I've now gone onto pay as you go...0 -

Most have kept mobiles after bankruptcy without problems...its if you decided to switch from currrent provider to a new one then the troubles would startWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
I kept my mobile contract through Orange, I did notify the OR that I had a contract with them but as I didn't owe them any money, it wasn't an issue.BSC support number 158
