    First; Do you have an up to date virus checker? Have you got Adaware from Lavasoft (its free)? That will remove most malware if you are able to boot into Safe Mode. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

    Another common cause for "random resets" is the power supply. If it's not able to supply enough "umph" for your machine it's a bit like a car trying to run with no petrol. I have fixed a number of machines with this problem by simply replacing the power supply.
