Dialaphone - returning phone

Hi folks, I should really be asking this question to dialaphone customer services really, but I thought it would be useful to hear from other people.

Basically, I ordered a new contract phone from dialaphone on saturday. I've received a dispatch message and royalmail SD number (which isn't 'activated' yet, oddly enough). It was supposed to arrive today, but I haven't heard anything yet.

Anyway, I called Vodafone up for a pac code, and they gave me a better deal than what dialaphone offered. I was wondering if it's possible for me to send the phone back to dialaphone when I receive it, and have my phone contract from them cancelled at the same time?

This is all new to me, so I'd like to know if any of this is possible before I call dialaphone up.

Hi there

Distance Selling Regulations mean that you are entitled to return the phone and cancel the contract. Dialaphone may get a bit shirty about it, but you have every right to simply shove everything back in the post.

Read the terms and conditions in the phone contract about returns and have a look on their website to make sure you follow EXACTLY the protocols they set out.

I've checked the faq on their site, they basically want me to call them up and they'll send me a prepaid envelope. If the phone doesn't arrive
today, I'll probably give them a call and let them know what I intend to do in advance.
