Hi Graham
I would do as Robbedofmymoney says, contact the ICO for advise on this, its normally that of 6 not 5 years.

And you can still continue to make a reclaim with your reasons you have, see what they suddenly come back with then.;)
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Many thanks again for your advise.
I'm taking your advise and will update as soon as things develop.

Hi Graham & welcome
How annoying that is for you.
Have you any old banking statements which would show the loan account number next to the monthly repayments?
If you bank with the same bank now and do online banking this should allow you to go back up to about the last 7 years.
Otherwise contact the Information Commissioner office (ICO) for some advice on where to go on this one.

Good luck, please let us know how you get on.;)
Wonder if you can help. I had several loans with Alliance & Leicester in the late 1990s but unfortunately shredded all the paperwork many years ago. I have been trying in vain to trace the policy numbers as I knew for a fact that they only offered "fully protected" loans at the time which I didnt require. I have since had an Abbey Loan upheld and was hoping to proceed with former A+L loans. However, since contacting them in December 2011 they had signed for & lost my recorded delivery letters, never return telephone calls and are being generally obstructive. I did ask them for a SARS report in December 2011 and they completely ignored my request. To add insult to injury I received a letter from their Business Manager in March and when I phoned for an update yesterday the reference number he quoted apparently means nothing to the PPI team and they could do no more! Are you aware of any other means of tracing my loan numbers, tried my bank to no avail.
thanks
