    Well if I run out of ideas for peoples hampers I'll be trying their recipe for bath salts... I'd love to do the bath bombs but even the kits don't work out that cheap :( although granted it's cheaper then Lush lol!

  • I have ordered a kit just to try and work out how it is done and then have every intention of doing it on the cheap once I have the moulds and the know-how!

    Let me know how you get on Beanie :) will be very interested in hearing if it's easy or not - as you say if it's easy then supplies can be bought in cheaper than the kits etc :)

    just tried the OP's recipe and ... wound up with exploding soap, that nearly exploded all over the microwave, which then got made into dark brown sludge.

    not good. doesn't look good either (smells ok though).

    this was with tescos own value soap, i might try with the glycerine type soap from superdrug that someone recommended earlier on the post.

  • Am a bit concerned about all these toilet roll middles being used to make soap!
    I use mine for planting pea and bean seeds for our allotment.
