Further to post 9. As we all thought, a con. Booked flights last night, provisional email back. 11am today an email - "we've tried to contact you.....please ring this premium rate number, we need to talk to you". A lie, no phone calls, no missed calls, no messages. Rang them this evening and lo and behold the flight I thought I had booked "had sold out" and did i want to speak to a salesman to find another one? So at 11am at the latest they knew that. Strange then that the same flights were showing as available on the otb site at 7.30pm ........over 8 hours later and cheaper than they were the evening before!!!!! methinks I will not trust them with my money ...0

i was looking earlier this year on the sunmaster site and went through the full process up to the card details,
they must log details as they rang me up a day or so later to see if i still wanted to book,
i was out at the time, she confirmed the price i was quoted online inc the baggage,
and i asked them to call back later to book it when i had my credit cards on me,
they did and quoted me over £100 more because of the baggage!0 -
I have looked at several of these sites and although they look cheap initially they arent. I do however find them usefull in giving me an idea of cheap holidays as i find out what flights, hotels etc they are using then do it myself, at least that way i know that i am paying the correct amount for excess luggage, etc and can also get quidco sometimes on the hotel! I can also opt for a cheaper tranfer too as these sites seem to be over the odds on them as well.***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0

After being burnt by the Kiss fiasco I would suggest the following (proceed at your own risk). If you use a Travel Agent (OTB, Travel Republic, Lastminuet.com etc) check the registered ATOl number before you pay. Search the CAA website and this will show you who is has regsitered the ATOL number. The CAA website also has a top ten list of sorts which shows you the 'stronger' companies like Thomson, Thomas Cook etc.
The flight number is also a giveaway for the airline that will be used for your tickets: Try and stick with TOM (Thomson), Thomas Cook, Monarch, Ryanair etc.
I haven't mentioned easyjet or BA because strike threats and cancellations with no warnings.
(The above is based on my opinion and research only - proceed at your own risk)0
