IIRC it was under "Services" "Favourite Channels" then highlight a channel press yellow to add it to your favourites, continue with next selection, when finished do not forget to press "Select" I think to make sure you save them. Then in your EPG main view just press "blue" to view the "Favourites EPG". Check on screen messages as this is from memory as I am using two HD boxes at present.
.
I've done this and pessing blue just takes me through my favourities one at a time. Is threre a way of displaying epg with just favourities.0 -

Just press "TV Guide" then "Blue" on standard and Sky+ boxes or "Yellow" on HD boxes. As i postedThen in your EPG main view just press "blue" to view the "Favourites EPG"0 -
Yes your card will continue to work -DON'T give them £25! If your card doesn't work after quitting, they've made a mistake and should fix it for FREE!
Freesat is an EPG and specification - so firstly I was pointing out that you shouldn't use that word when talking about Sky boxes, FreesatFromSky is confusing enough for people. Freesat only applies to products with a Freesat logo on them, so don't refer to anything to do with Sky as Freesat. I believe that Sky boxes without a card should be referred to as FTV (Free to View). 'Better' is an opinion I suppose, but Freesat is NOT the same channel lineup as Sky without a card. Sky without a card won't receive any of the encrypted channels. Freesat also includes a network connection that allows you to view BBC iPlayer and soon other 'catch up' services. Check the Freesat lineup here:

The card gives you access to FIVEUS, FIVER and Sky 3. It also regionalises BBC and ITV. Depending on where you live, you may also lose FIVE, but this can be added in manually.
Just pull your Sky card out the box. You'll see what you're left with.Dave. :wave:0 -

Although freesat is copyright to the BBC, Sky licensed FreesatFromSky from them and used the term on their products for several years before freesat launched. Freesat will never receive the FTV channels without a viewing card and the inclusion of a card reader in freesat's specification is something the BBC dread most as they fear the government will then withdraw the license and make them get their income from subscriptions with a viewing card.0 -

As well as Five USA +1, Fiver +1, Viva, LFC TV (channel 4HD and Five HD on HD boxes) certain encrypted ITV regions and allowing access to parental controls.0 -
Thanks for answers peeps I'm still unclear lol.. but as long as I have some TV (no aerial here, so no regular freeview) I think I'll cancel and see if the card gives me any extra above the "no card" until I get real freesat+ fitted or manage to get a better deal from Sky themselves.. existing customer for over 15 years and can't get a SKY+ box! - if only I'd have found MSE last year I might have figured this out by now

You don't need to have Freesat fitted, it's just a box swap using your existing Sky dish and LNB. As long as you have a twin feed already from your LNB you can just plug in a Freesat PVR.No free lunch, and no free laptop
