    Acronym? Initialism?

    TLA = Two/Three Letter Abbreviation ???

    An acronym is where you take the first letter from two or more words and put them together so that they form a new word i.e. DOS (pronounced doss)

    An initialism is where you take the first letter of two or more words and put them together then pronounce each letter individually i.e. IBM

    Its one of those things that most people get wrong, and people like me point it out so we can feel smugly superior for a few moments. Then get back to our crushingly boring desk-job.

    bump....should be a sticky
    It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
    Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
    If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
    If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
    If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • DCA isn't on there - that I assume would be 'Debt Collection' something or other???
    6 debts down - 1 to go: just over £1000 though, soon soon....

    Staying happy and positive through 2011 (hopefully!) :j
