I'm def. out of synch with the UK, it is sunny and getting warmer here, and smiles are easily come by........ I have plenty to spare :D:D:D:D:D:D

However Popeye and I had an attack of food poisoning last night :(- apparently the faster it hits you, the less dangerous is the poison, so not really serious. We think it may have been the (in-date) butter fish we had, unless really old squash can do it to you? But we had a lie-in and then I took him to work so I could go to the bank to prove that I have a valid Visa - just in time, they were going to put a stop on my cards :eek:

    So today I have/will:
    • been to the bank, sorted Visa problem, and chased up a garage card (can't buy fuel unless cash otherwise)
    • been turned down for 2 jobs so far......:(
    • Started the application for a work permit, doing it this way may improve my chances of employment
    • see if the course I need to do is available in the UK
    • knit some more pressies
    • meal from plan - chicken tonight.
    • read the papers on-line
    • 20 mins on the CT

Oh and I got a payout from Quidco - £1  :rotfl:

Have a great day everyone :A

Hi all - Bagpuss I must have missed your original post about being assaulted - I have just gone back and looked at your posts. I'm so sorry that happened to you - apart from the obvious physical damage how are you doing? x

I have been quite productive today. DFW-wise I have:

    1) Worked 6 hours
    2) NSD - although may have to pay to park later
    3) Returned library books and DVDs
    4) All meals from stores
    5) Received a paving slab from a friend - I have a broken one in my patio and he had a spare the right size.
    6) Cashed in some Tesco points for Pizza Express tokens and entry to the Fleet Air Museum for when we have our week off. Will combine the museum trip with a visit to OH's Gran.
    7) Advertised my rocking chair on Gumtree and Netmums. I love it but just don't have the room for it anymore. Sob.
    8) Going to a free cinema screening of Going The Distance tonight. Will take some sweets and my lovely Mum who deserves a night out.
    9) Have done another coat of paint on my bookcase.
    10) Hokey cokey drying outside.

Right, off to collect my little man from holiday club.I have acheived more in the two hours since work without him at home, than I can sometimes achieve all day when he is around!

    Have a nice night, L x

    - [STRIKE]DD in pants today, saving on nappies....not on washing though I bet! LOL (Currently sat on potty in front of Cbeebies)[/STRIKE] a few accidents but just as we were leaving nursery she said "I need a wee wee mummy" so I took her to the pottys and she did a number 2!!! Such a proud mummy here
    - Drop DD off at her dads tonight giving me two nights off
    - [STRIKE]Try NOT to ladder tights today! [/STRIKE]successful!
    - [STRIKE]Lunch and snacks from stores, still working through that choccy the salesman gave me[/STRIKE] didn't eat it all either!
    - Definately sparkle in a very stellar kind of way :):):)

    Jx

Well I also gained a tip from a customer, over from Germany on holiday in his car, needed a tyre sorting out quickly, did it all and got his car cleaned, £20 for me!!! I shared it with the technician that did the job though so £10 really......

Just harvested 3 x courgettes, 2x leeks, 1x garlic, 1x onion and loads of cherry tomatos! I feel rich!!! :)

Taking DD over to her dads in a bit so will use more fuel but it means I can ride my bike in tomorrow, thus saving on fuel ?!
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!
