But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Morning DNS thanks for starting the thread and morning to those that follow.
Just read yesterday's thread, thank you for all your kind messages. First day went well, everyone seems nice but a lot of it was very boring.
My list for today is:

[STRIKE]Dusting to do
Washing to check on
Email people back
Check bank[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Do some comps before work and at lunchtime and after work
Food from stores
Take my nans mag and lotto to her
Post test letter
Sign up for free Bupa through work and hand in form to HR
Quick shower and put washing machine on when get back[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Hung washing to dry[/STRIKE]
Then chill out tonight with dvd as OH is out

- Set my cc bill to come out at flat-rate a month instead of automatic min payment and giving myself the option of how much more to pay iyswim...

Morning everyone. Kind of a day off for me today as I start my run of nights tonight. My list for today is
finish passage
hang all clothes in wardrobes (finally up)
dinner in slow cooker
take knitting to work to finish sleeve
tidy kitchen
check banking and work out budget
email eBay seller to say item hasn't arrived yet
no heating as will be working a sweat with all the painting!

Day off today but after a lovely sunny day yesterday we are back to rain here in the south west. Though there is some work that i really should be doing ASAP so i wouldn't be suprised to find one of the directors at the door with a bag of paperwork for me at some point today!!!

Bit later posting today as I've been to the doctors for female exams and general indignity! Referred for an ultrasound scan for fibroids - not fabulous but not life threatening so as usual will just carry on in the way that women do! OH has come out in sympathy already!
Anyway, today's list...- Walk dog for free exercise

- All food from stores
- Put dry washing away
- Check when library books are due back
- Do some school work
- Have a LSD
- Update diary

Pooor you Rachelmk, my sis and mum both had fibroids, grrrr.
I didnt finidh my list yesterday as the garden walls took much longer than hoped, so today..
got 2 courgettes cakes baking and another 2 waiting to go in the over
beetroot boiled and cooling waiting to go in the freezer
posted ebay parcel
must put the washing away as the house inspector (my mum) is coming over tomorrow
in a dry spell pick runner beans and other veg desperate to be plucked or pulled
must pinch out the tomatoes - keep forgetting everytime i go to the plot
must look up when okra is ready as they are looking good
collect eggs and see to the chooks
a general tidy about
tea tonight is chicken and some veg from the plot - the lemon apple cucumbers are very yummy, might have fried green toms with the salad
unfortunately i mandolin slived my hand last night so need to be a bit careful today!
