Official Valentines Roses Hunt

Anyway... just phoned Sainsburys as that is where I ordered online from). Heard that they will be selling 12 roses instore at £14. Asked why I was charged 20 for my online order and was told that they are of a "much better quality" than the ones instore and come as a bouquet (sp?), so I will get what I paid for.

I hope this is the case! May just check the ones instore and compare them to see if this is true...

Yes just bought some for my wife as a surprise , not bad for £4.99. I'll get some nicer ones on valentines day though.

My main concern of buying flowers online for Valentines Day is ensuring they are delivered on the 14th. In Martins original post, he pointed that they shouldnt be compared with the Interflora style delivery. Is that a way of saying "Buyer Beware"?

Are their Interflora deals online?

Well, I can't beat many of those prices, but if you want quality, check out London Florist Serenata Flowers. They have a florist local to my brother in Richmond and the flowers are just incredible, and that's a bloke's opinion. They deliver next day and Valentines flowers will be delivered on Monday.

I've ordered by wife the Dozen Grand Prix Roses - a classic choice for Valetines Day Flowers. Luckily I've saved lots so far this year from tips at the Money Saving Expert so can afford to treat my wife to something special. My missus deserves something special (or so she tells me)! as with most things in life, you pays your money, and take your choice. Cheap roses are cheap roses. They won't last long and won't have the same wow factor as a Grand Prix rose with a large head, and a sturdy stem. Stand a bouquet from Tescos next to one from Serenata and the choice really is simple.

Sent my mother flowers for Mothers Day from Serenata Flowers last year, and she hasn't stopped thanking me since.

I'm not entirely sure what the delivery is like, when I asked they said it would be delivered the week commencing the 14th... It's the thought that counts right??!
