Hello, have tried to search through this forum but cant find an answer.
I am probably going to end up complaining to easyjet but want to know if there is an ombudsman I can threaten them with or is it a case of, if they dont listen to my complaint they dont have to do anything?
My complaint by the way is for a cancelled flight. They informed us our return flight in 10 days time, (due to fly out in 3 days) was cancelled.
I ended up having to buy a return flight with ryanair for each member of my party. Because the ryanair flight originated in europe the prices are in euros, but when you get to the booking confirmation screen, ryanair give you the booking total in sterling so you know exactly how much its going to cost before you hit the buy button.
After applying to easyjet for a refund for my alternative carrier, then are refusing to pay me in sterling (despite ryanair charging me in sterling). The ryanair order confirmation has a total in euros and sterling and confirms the sterling amount was debited from credit card but easyjet are offering to refund in euros after a shocking exchange rate they have applied. I stand to lose £100 for my party of 6 people.
not happy!
