O2 returns policy for in shop purchases

Hi all

I've searched the O2 website looking for terms and conditions in relation to returned a PAYG phone that has been bought at an O2 shop. However, the website seems geared up only to provide terms and conditions for phones bought online.

Does anyone know what, if any, the return policy is for unwanted PAYG phones bought from an O2 shop? I know there's no legal obligation to accept a return for a refund, but I also know they sometimes have terms and conditions above and beyond what the law requires.

Many thanks

Michael.

  • Hi there

All I've been able to find out is that if you bought the item from a shop, you have to return it to the shop and cannot do an online return/exchange.

Can you return it for a full refund even if you simply don't like the phone?
  • I'm just in chat with someone at O2 now. They don't know either so are checking it out!!

  • The person on chat said they believed the returns policy was the same in store as for online purchases - you have 14 days to return the phone if you don't get on with it and can get a refund. He was not 100% sure, but I'd say it's worth a go to visit the shop. Make sure you take everything with you, including the original box.
