Parking ticket with blue badge says badge not valid?

Hi there
I just received a parking ticket (87: parking in disabled persons parking space without displaying a valid disabled badge). However my badge was on display and the warden said that it was not valid because it is a "duplicate". I am confused. I imagine it says duplicate because the first one they sent me was lost/stolen in the post and they sent a second one a few weeks later.

Can anyone suggest why I may of got this ticket or had a similar experience?
Thanks

1st is it a council ticket?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I assume this is a council ticket and not a private parking company?
If so write to the council, explaining that the BB is a replacement provided by them, that it is therefore a valid BB and that the contravention did not occur. Enclose a phtocopy of the BB0 -
yes issued by Civil enforcement officer. Thank you0

Ditto OrfordI'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I was planning to do that. But I did wonder if the officer was working under some regulation that they have the right to query/issue tickets for duplicate bb's because of fraud. It seems so odd to receive a ticket when the badge is visible and valid.0

They have the means of checking a badge with the parking office (I assume) so cannot see the need to ticket..I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Post back when you get a reply to your informal appeal. Which Council?
It will be interesting to see their response if they don't cancel it - in which case pepipoo.com can give you chapter and verse on how to then do a formal appeal (the second stage of the system).
Don't pay up but make sure you get help if at first you don't succeed with your appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I received one of these, but the warden machine printed text was over-written onto the text already on the pre-printed text - thus the over 14day payment penalty details on the PCN was not legible.
I emailed the borough to challenge this (I could not read it, an elderly person would definitly find it il-legible).
I got an auto reply which said they aim to reply within 10 days, until such time the penalty I would have to say would the lesser amount (£50).
They finally replied after 28 days, asking me to send them a copy of the PCN, which I did straight away.
I got a similar auto reply back, aim to reply within 10 days.
But they actually replied after some 28 days again, disputing that nothing is wrong with the printed text and I will have to pay up.
I went to the borough website to pay, and against my PCN, it was showing the higher amount to pay (£100).
I am shocked at this obviously as they took ages to reply, so it was not my fault that I would be paying late. I would now be getting a form in the post, which I can challenge further, thru Court I assume, or pay up the £100.
Any advice ?0 -
Is this for a blue badge problem as per the original post? If not you will get better help if you start a separate thread, its less confusing to all.;)I received one of these, but the warden machine printed text was over-written onto the text already on the pre-printed text - thus the over 14day payment penalty details on the PCN was not legible.

Ill definately post a reply once I get a response. I take it the informal appeal is classed as disputing the PCN on the website? Thank you for your help.0
