SERVICE ON PAR WITH WHAT THEY REMOVE FROM THE SEPTIC TANK .
EMERGENCY SERVICE (NOT)
This morning I ordered a septic tank at one of the properties I manage to be emptied. The young lady PROMISED it would be emptied in the afternoon as it was urgent over flowing.
This afternoon I receive a call to say they were not going to do it today but Tuesday . I complained and said I was promised and had told the residents of the House it would be carried out today . They said they could do nothing (take it or leave attitude) I asked to speak to some one higher up and they put me on to Russell hand MD who said basically tough and you can have your money back if you want and cancel??? I said he had messed a lot of people about and should not promise what his firm could not deliver again (tough) was his poor attitude. I stated I would probably be issued with a compo claim from the guests at the property and said I would do the same to him again(tough) he then HUNG UP.
Sorry MR HAND BUT YOUR SERVICE IS AWFUL AND REALLY IS ON PAR WITH WHAT YOU DISPOSE OF YOU SHOULD NOT PROMISE WHAT YOU CANT DELIVER, IMPROVE YOUR TELEPHONE MANNER AND I HOPE YOU LOSE CUSTOMERS.:D

Your fault for leaving it until there was a problem, is it not?
I wouldn't expect a vactanker the same day, especially on a Monday.
They will be cross-hired from someone else and not by Dyno-Rod's anyway. They are just a franchise outfit.

Absolute rubbish do you lift the manhole every time to look in to the septic tank?? it was not due to be emptied . The other issue was I rang around they PROMISED THE SERVICE THEY DID NOT DELIVER ALL THEY HAD TO SAY WAS LIKE 4 OTHERS DID "NO CANT DO IT" NOT BOOK IT IN AND THEN CONTACT YOU LATE IN THE DAY THINKING YOU CANT GET ANOTHER FOR THAT DAY AND STILL RETAINING YOUR BUSINESS....... VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE NO EXCUSE.
GOT ANOTHER TO COME RANG AT 15-35 DUE TO ARRIVE 17-30PM THAT'S WHAT YOU CALL SERVICE.0 -

No, it is your planning that I am on about, not Dyna Rod. used to have a saying on shop floor in my place of apprenticeship.
This weeks plan does not move, it is fixed, if it is urgent, it'll be next week before we can do it.
Just because the computer game can move the plan, the truck to takeaway your crap was already on the road this morning, route planned and et al.

No they were asked if they could provide the service which was to empty the septic tank at a property I manage they said YES this afternoon do you?? as we cant do it this morning . So they offered to do it TODAY I never press ganged them in to doing it they could have said as others "NO CANT PROMISE YOU TODAY" It is called being HONEST with your customer. Being on the road has nothing to do with it the woman on the switch board said after checking YES today the MD said late in the day NO cant do it IE CRAP SERVICE.0

As a Drainage engineer and Operations Manager myself working for a competitor of Dyno Rod i agree with some of the earlier comments made by withabix, if the septic tank wasn't due to be emptied and was overflowing there is an issue with the tanks soakaway system or Ground water penetrating the tank walls, if the soakaway system isnt working correctly this could be due to lack of maintenance :mad: !!!!
When jobs are placed with a call center they are placed in order of arrival as 90% of the calls are emergencies the same as yours, they are then sent to the engineer to complete the works, if the work involves a van and engineer you would get the same day response, wether that engineer had been held up by previous jobs or not, however if the jetvac had been held up on a previous job that taken more time than anticipated they are governed by driving hours and could get a fine if these hours are breached at all, the best planers in the world can not foresee problems that can acur on a call out, all they can do is try and resolve the issue and re schedule work as required.
In my opinion the office did everything by the book, they contacted you to inform you that they wouldn't make it until the following day and that the circumstances were out of there control, if you put yourself in the position of the other customers they helped that day, the other customers that they spent more time with than anticipated and sorted there problems out, i wonder how grateful those people were.
It is always the bad points that are spoken about and never the good points, our organisation receive more than 2000 jobs a month, with less than 1% complaints rate, you cant keep everybody happy all the time.

Or it could be a simple blockage in the line down to the tank (toilet roll or womens sanitary items) or the downpipe into the tank is blocked up with grease and backfilling the system,both easy cleared with a sewer rod.0
