Morning everyone......come on you bold ladies, labour vibes coming your way.
I spent the weekend building huge wardrobes with my oh for the children (whilst they were away) absolutely exhausted us both. Been suffering with back pain so wanted to ask advice.
Its on the left side of my back and shoots past my bum and down my leg, i vaguely remember having this with my last pregnancy and think it may be sciatica, does this sound right to anyone? Is there any way to ease it. I was in agony last night and struggled to get up out of bed or find a comfy position. It has eased again this morning, but i suspect it may be back later.

I had exactly the same at 14-15wks, because I work for the nhs I got a quick referal to the physio who gave me a couple of excercises to do and they helped (not that I do them much) One is to lie on your back knees bent feet flat and lift up your pelvis, in a kind of rolling motion. The other was same start position but roll from side to side, obviously the bigger you get the less you can actually move but it really loosened me up. Hope that helps.

I have been lurking all weekend and would just like to say thank you for all your rants about OH's. I was relaying the situations back to my DH and I think he's finally getting that pregnant women are hormonal irrational and argumentative :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

TwoFlower. Sorry to hear your news *Hugs*

    Gratz BB. Gorgeous name.

Hungry please could you tell me what Evelyn and Ruben are colour-wise. Thank you.

Labour vibes to the bold ladies

    I've been Money Tipped!
Phew....epic adventure in the nursery today!

I played, fussed, unpacked, assembled, rearranged and just accidentally got it all ready.

The funny thing is the nursery is really a large alcove in ds's bedroom and baby wont be using it straight away but the cots up, nappies are on the unit ( i seem to have amassed about 80 washable nappies now) and clothes (which we are good for until 6 months old) are all neatly stored under he cot in storage boxes.

I have nothing to do now for the next 14 or so weeks

Oh forgot to add I picked up my Bounty mum-to-be pack today from Sainsbury's and I was quite impressed :D We don't get the packs from the hospital here, so this is the only one I'll get - though the website.

You're lucky - my Sainsbury's has been out of stock for the last six weeks and nobody seems to know when they will get more in.

Twoflower, just wanted to reiterate that we're here for you, so feel free to post as you need to, when you need to.

Ah thanks Merfe, I used that the last time (midwife samples) but was going to avoid buying it this time as I used so little of it and it is quite pricey, but if I use it now at least I will get my moneys worth IYSWIM. Thanks x

I have bought my pregnant daughter the Lansinoh sachet/samples off Ebay to use instead of buying the tube which is near enough £10. Thought they would be easier to carry around as well.

Evening Ladies ( and MOTM if he's lurking!)

Congratulation BigBird!!! What a lovely name!!!

Fairy - your scan sounds fantastic!!! Didn't think you would see so much detail and now I'm super excited!!!! Well done for team yellow. I can't imagine not finding out, far too impatient to wait (although I suspect we won't tell anyone!!).

    Princess - excited yet!!

Beaks - welcome to be thread!

Dipsy - sorry to hear you are in pain. I can't imagine what it's like but you sound like you have done a scary amount to minimise it second time round so fingers crossed that is is something other and will go away.

Hungry - will PM you with a couple of names for colours if that's ok?

That's about all I can think of just now...... Labour vibes coming from this neck of the woods for all you lovely ladies in bold....

    morning everyone x

In exactly one week I'll be all ready to go for c-section eek, I'm first one the list and they start at 8:30 so long as there are no emergencies little one will be here not long after then.

In just under an hour I'll be dropping the kids off to school then coming home and going straight back to bed, they are up, breakfasted, washed, dressed for school and pack lunches made so you can imagine how long they have been up for already, so tired.

I'm getting some really sharp, quite worrying pains in my c-section scar if I move too fast or in a certain way or cough too much, so glad there is not long left.

Hi Cutterby. I have something called synaesthesia. It's when you experience something with one sense, and it also gives you another sense. In my case, when I hear words, I experience colours. It's not that I see the colours, I just know that Anna is green and Sarah is yellow. For other people, they may actually see the colours, or taste things when they hear sounds. I also get it with pain, so AF pains are newspaper, tiredness headaches are fizzy blue, and the stomach ache I get before being sick is black and hard.

The colours things makes chosing babies names even harder for me, as there are some colours and combinations of colours that I don't like.

I hope that's a little bit less weird than it first appeared on the thread :D

Hi HM, thanks for replying, that is awesome!!! It doesn't cause you any pain or trouble does it? I don't want to be saying how cool something is if it isn't nice for you to have  You've already done my name, I'm quite happy being red :D Thanks again for letting me know - it didn't sound weird, I'm just a nosey cow :o

Bless you Merfe!! You sound like ou need a lie down now! It is still so early too! MIL is taking DS to school for me this morning, which is a help. How exciting to know that your little one will be here in one week. Don't leave things to worry you about your sharp pains though, give the MW a ring and you will be able to get on with your day worry free hopefully!
