    morning everyone x

Teenie my 2nd wasn't as big but I'm a special case lol I suspected I'd get the gestational diabetes again and ate alot healthier than with DD.

Did a random blood sugar test last night since I had all the stuff out doing some customers and it was 5.8 which is absolutely fine considering it was not long after dinner. With DD random blood sugar tests were in double figures before I got on the insulin and difficult to keep down even afterwards. So fingers crossed tomorrows test is negative again.

2 more shifts to go at work yay.

    good luck due march x

cat love the crib, if I didn't already have a moses basket I'd have gone for a nice crib too.

I've taken the hood off the moses basket and washed all the coverings but don't think I'll bother putting the hood back on. I know it looks better but it doesn't actually have any practical use does it?
  • morning ladies and bumps!

OH was coughing in his sleep last night so I didnt get much sleep, so am just off to bed ibn hope that I am more cheerful 2nd time round.

Merfe - I only kept the hood on mine to take DD outside but she was a may baby, so not sure that it will be much use to you.

Thanks Merfe and TicklePenny I'm really not happy about the way the hood fastens onto my moses basket. It has two nobbles inside that are quite hard. Every time we go in a baby shop DH has 'a feel of theirs' (yes I know that sounds wrong!) and they are the same. Any thoughts?

Think we'll be leaving ours off too, they just look pretty I suppose.

    Thanks
    Katy x

They're all pretty much the same Katy... But for the time a baby is in a moses, they generally can't move around so are unlikely to catch themselves on anything... The hood is really just to look pretty, although like Tickle, I took both my girls in the garden in theirs with the hoods up to shade them from the sun... (and blankets draped over the rest of them)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

think the hood serves the purpose of shading them from the sun. Never really used them though so dunno

This is exactly what i have done this time around as it never fully went up properly and it looks so much better without.

Teenie my DD was 7 2 1/2 and my DS (40+5) was 8 9. I think it made a difference that he was a boy. MW reckons this time round i will be somewhere in the middle although on my 1st appointment with her she informed me it will probably be bigger than DS which scared me slightly.

Feeling a lot more back to normal today - happy hormones have returned so thanks for all the kind words yesterday. Only problem i have today it my DS has hidden my ipod with all my hypno birthing music etc on it and we can not find it anywhere. Its in none of his usual places and i am just hoping it didnt go out with the bins the other day. So thats my main mission today - find ipod!

Happy hormones for everyone and hugs to those who need them :)

Eeek I've just bought my cot!! I got it from the Argos Clearance on ebay - £50 instead of £179 :D I'm really pleased:D It's the Cosatto Stratford. MiL is buying it for us, she has also bought us a crib, which I'm really pleased about as I prefer this to a moses basket but they are really pricey - she got a second hand one in excellent condition. And I got my lampshade through the post this morning - it's lemon with giraffes on either side. Today has been great :D

    This is the crib http://dundee.gumtree.com/dundee/70/67152070.html

    And the lampshade http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160490085739&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
    :money: Excellent bargain.

well I won't be taking the moses basket out the bedroom so think I'll just chuck that now, gonna chuck the whole thing once I'm done with it. I will have used it for all 3 of mine and it was given to me by my aunt who used it for her 2 as well so I think that its done its bit.

By the time its summer little one will probably go in the garden in the baby swing rather than pram or anything. I've thought of something rhys hasn't found in the loft that I know we have which means there is more baby stuff somewhere, I'm sure there is some in the garage but he assures me there isn't hmmm.

2 girls good luck for your next test, although if you have it it was never too big a deal and at least keeping a good eye on it hopefully baby wouldn't be as big as dd2 xx My 28 week one with DS was 8.7 which they diagnosed it with but this one at 28 weeks was only 7 which is fine. Midwife didn't even think I should have another test, she thinks this one is just big but for no reason, but the ultrasound dept wanted it.
