Awh Rach, hopefully you are now in the land of nod and things with OH will look better in the morning. My OH isn't very good at the scary things like this either so I can sympathise that it feels like you aren't the most important thing right now. These men just miss sometimes how hurtful they can be without thinking about it.
I'm sure it will all come good eventually.

lol everyone on flylady calls it a dodgy hug.

Sadly no sleep as yet, not sure I'll be able to sleep much, definite ctx now! Was tempted to phone lab ward again and say 'aaarrggh this hurts too much!' but think I should give it a bit longer! I am going to see if I can time them for a bit with the master timer and see how long they are lasting, I think about 30 seconds at the moment. Bit of pink on the pad but she said pink is ok, just to call if proper blood. pad not particularly wet though so not much more leakage, though have been lying down.

am wondering whether this is the time to get the tens machine out

Lilac that Asda one is the one I have and you're right it isnt that thick, now thinking about it I'm quite pleased as I plan to carry baby on my front where they tend to get the body heat or in the pushchair it has the cosytoes so I think it'll be fine. Initially it was just going to be coming home from hospital one with the proper one the rest of the time but I think I'll save the proper one for if it actually snows.

Hi everyone, am up after my seventh night with no sleep. Just having breakfast and then going to get ready to go. Need to be at hospital for ten. Thankyou to everyone for the well wishes. Sorry to hear that your dh is not been very supportive rach, hope things go well for you and you never know we may end up with our babies sharing birthdays. Will be thinking of you.

I've not had chance to catch up with yesterday's posts yet as work was quite manic and I popped out in the evening.

The scan went quite well yesterday. Sproglet was being a right fidget, and even the sonographer commented on how fidgety s/he was. I had a few punches during the scan, and I could tell they were punches rather than kicks because I could see them on the screen

Everything seems to be ok, except that I have to go back for another scan next week. Someone was being a bit shy and hiding their head. I was tipped up and rolled over, but to no avail. They just want to make sure that the head is all ok. My notes say that they want to check the head/brain structures and nuchal fold. I thought the nuchal fold was at 12 weeks to assess for DS. If that's the case, I don't want it checked and it says in my notes that I've already refused it.

I have 4 new graphs in my folder of notes now, but I have no idea what they mean. Can anyone shed any light on it? They are labelled as BPD, FL, HC and AC. FL and AC are filled in whereas the other two aren't. I wondered if FL wad femur length, and AC was abdominal cavity, in which case I have a fat baby

One last thing. I keep seeing posters up around the hospital telling me to make sure I have a growth chart in my notes. Is that different to all the graphs I have?

Just lurking on to say good luck to Rach (who hasn't been on so maybe in the middle of things!) and hugs your DH is not being supportive. My DH wasn't intially going to come for the start of induction (as thought could take ages!!), but so glad he did as ended up having a c/section. Maybe remind him that anything could happen and he could miss the birth!!

Morning hngrymummy - fl is femur length (bone in leg), ac is abdominal circumference, bpd is biparietal diameter and hc is head circumference. The last 2 are both head measurements which they weren't able to do so will fill them in when you go back. These are your growth charts. Hth e

Came in a bit late for this, but happened to me with DD1. They also very patronisingly told me my waters hadn't broken (over the phone!!)

Scans aren't that accurate I guess. Will find out the sex, probably!
