Hey, thanks for the lovely comments :D.

So after that loooooooong wait, I woke up at 4am on Sunday with tummy ache, 4.15 had a couple of paracetemol, 4.30 let the midwife know my stomach hurt, 4.45 I was monitored then examined then sent down to the delivery suite immediately without even taking my stuff. 5.10 midwife phoned Mr C, 5.54 baby Raphe Albert made his grand entrance, 5.55 Mr C arrived just in time to see me holding our boy. He cut the cord (then needed a little lie down - bit squemish :rotfl:) Other than paracetemol no pain relief, no stitches.

Not biased or anything, but Raphe is beautiful :smileyheaAt this moment, he's fast asleep on Daddy. Has been feeding really well and is pretty chilled out.

Likes: milk, cuddles, sleeping in the day
Dislikes: not being cuddled, sleeping in his crib, sleeping at night generally

I am so in love :D:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls

    Thanks :D

It's 'Rayff' - It's a Northumbrian name which is where DH is from. I can't stop staring at him, I start doing a job like putting his socks on then realise I've frozen and spent 10minutes perched above him, socks in hand :D

According to scan dates he was 25 days overdue :rotfl::rotfl:No one (and I have made a point of asking everyone with a slight bit of medical knowledge :p) can point to any tiny thing about him that suggests he's overcooked

  • Cngratulations courgette, he is definately well worth the wait! Especially with that labour! He is gorgeous, not surprised you get mesmerised by him. I know I sent swift labour vibes but hey that is amazing! I wish for mine to be like that :D

I had the opposite arguement with Drs about DD csection at 39+5 by their dates but when she arrived they agreed she was more like 42weeks lol.
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
