Looking forward to hearing baby news today :j
Well I woke up at 5am and then couldn't get back to sleep, so am now heading into work - I'll be there for 730am, which is obscene - especially on my last week. Ah well, hopefully I should be able to leave early (if they don't find me asleep in the photocopying room sometime this afternoon)...0 -
Morning all, didn't get back on yest...missed you all! Had a lovely day with my mum though. We went into town and borrowed a wheelchair from shopmobility so she wheeled me around! Was great to be out. Although not so great when she ran over a woman's foot...worst thing was me bursting out laughing!! We didn't buy loads, mum spent about 6 of those boots No7 vouchers we'd all been saving for her and we had a proper morning coffee in a pattiserie. I just bought shampoo!! Then we nipped into local high st and had lunch and saw some baskets for the change table, she is going to buy them this am.
We've also massively sorted the baby's room, incl curtains up which was a mammoth job. I basically sat on a chair and directed everything!
Wanted to wish smartie well for today - look forward to reporting the news..I'm around all day so will come and tell you ladies as soon as I can!
welcome caspar and kataratarina
sir monster - love the name Thomas, I was after choosing it for a boy but it doesn't sounds good with our surname (neither do most boys names!)
my 20 week scan only lasted about 5-10 mins, my 12 week one was 3 trips in and over an hour!
MV i didn't feel movements until about 24 weeks I think, well I didn't realise if I did. I was saying just the same as you on here
funnily enough I've never been booted in the ribs either! I don't really get kicked much at all, esp now, just wriggles...my mum reckons I have a lot of fluid. I do see big belly movements now, esp if I sit back in a chair!
dream - enjoy your last day! I have literally forgotten all about work already!!!
OTE - my sister is due in Feb and will probably know the flavour of hers from 20 week scan before ours comes! I am half tempted to find out at scan tomorrow, but think as DH prob won't be there and we've waited so long!
sammy_girl - good luck for scanMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Rach what is your pain like? I now have a constant pain down below especially when walking but no back or hip pain, all at the front, it still hurts when I'm sat down and hurts more if I move but is just like I've been kicked. It used to come and go and was only if I'd overdone it but it isn't going away now. I did not get this with either of the other two.0

Good morning all! Hope we get some baby news today:D Don't think we've heard from Bunny or Hassle for a while?
I didn't sleep well last night and have a bad headache now. In fact the only reason I got up was I was awake early as OH was getting his DDs off to school and I was hungry!
I've been having stomach cramps (period pain-esque) - I've had these on and off during pregnancy but were getting more frequent yesterday and I noticed them overnight too. Could this be my body getting ready for the big event?0 -
Merfe - a lot of it is down below at the front now, which is the symphis pubis joint i think. Mine is def relieved for a bit when I sit, but as soon as I stand or walk it is v bad. It started in my hips and lower back and still get it there when walking a bit but it's mainly down below now def. Physio said it's the 3 bits where your pelvis joins (i was worried I was making it up but she said the 3 places it husts are where it joins). I am also getting a lot more clicking now. I've also found that walking up any incline, even c slight is much much worse than walking flat or downhill. Yesterday am I walked up to inlaws, using both my sticks, it's about a 3 min walk usually...had to stop 3 times and was in tears when I arrived. It was partly as was still stiff from being in bed, despite a bath, but walking back down later was 100 times better. I think my saving grace is lack of steps - once I'm in the flat everything is on a level, so I have often only gone downstairs in the morning and back up in the eve (all lifts at work). But your work involves standing so be more careful, I wish I'd taken it seriously earlier.
Once ma has gone I think I will be basically staying home unless it's somewhere I can go on the bus from outside the door and end up exactly where I'm headed or someone gives me a lift.
Gena - I've had those cramps too, and been wondering the same thing!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Merfe thats how my SPD started with DD, this time I have front and back pain. Feels like some one has kicked me full force front and back if I do anything that irritates it, but then I knew it would be bad as I am now lifting my 26lb daughter and I wasnt doin that whilst pregnant 1st time lol.
labour vibes to courgette and any one else who wants them.
2 weeks ago asked for a referral re SPD they said that they would refer me for accupuncture and physio, I got my appointment through for Accupuncture - 8th October. Still waiting for Physio. If you think you have SPD ask for a referral asap due to waiting lists.

Ooh - might go and have a look today, get one of each as we don't know the flavour and won't until Tuesday when they might all be gone! Can always stick it on Ebay afterwards.
Silly question - was it a pound? As I know some 'pound' shops don't sell everything for a pound...
