No - that's good, at least you have 10 days breathing space. In fact I think in Martin's article on help with debt crisis companies are supposed to give you longer than that as a grace period. I hate to say it but you're way isn't working so maybe it's time to call in some backup?
What's the deal with the Halifax? is it a secured loan or unsecured loan or is it credit cards?

P.S I suspect that these were debt collectors or a debt colection agency rather than bailiffs or any court appointed officials but for future reference don't let anyone in - not to phone their boss, chat to you, use the toilet. This is because a) it can result in waaaaay more charges being added on and b) once you have let people in they have more powers to come back and get your goods.
Hopefully people on here will have mroe experience in these things than me but if they are debt collectors they will have much reduced powers (and might not even have any) so hopefully they will be able to advise you - but don't let people in.

They were just trying to make contact as i was igniring their calls.
Done a CCCS breakdown and its not good it recommends a TMP which is only a temporary solution.
The Halifax is Credit Card and OVerdraft debt.
I feel sick but i got to deal with this.
Thanks All x0 -
just remember - they can't have it id you haven't got it.
and googling P2C, they are a debt collection agency. If your main bank account is with the Halifax, get a basic account with a non affiliated bank, then the Halifax can't go helping themselves.
have a look at this thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/319736Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

Just googled them. Seems they are a dca employed to trace you. They asked for a phone number i gave them my personal mobile number i always scan the calls. So can ignore them and ask them to write. Is it worth me writing and asking them just to communicate by mail in future???
also wondering whether to look a the unenforceable route for one credit card 14k Halifax and one at £600 Cap1, the cap one i have been paying.
IS there anyway of making extra money i work full time? I am frantically ebaying at the moment to try and raise some money to pay some off.0 -
Hi,
Could you do a budget and post it up? It's helpful to you to get it down in black and white and CCCS will need to have one too. If you can bear to post it up you'll get a lot more replies as people will have something to work on, iyswIm.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
Morning everyone well i slept last night first time for ages so just proved by speaking to CCCS and you guys how a problem shared is a problem halved (I wish it was the value)

Anyway i got some postal orders last night and i am going to send token payments tonight would be ok to send the please only correspond in writing letter with this. Would you include a hotmail address which they could also correspond on???
Tomorrow i will open a new bank account for saving and a basic account as the one i have has overdraft and cheque facilities if required. I then think i will set up standing order for my emergency money car tax and car fund into this account each time i paid that way i can build up a slush fund if needed.
I was meant to be out this friday with the girls but i have cried off as i know it would be a £50 night out and i know i can use this more wisely. I can spend the time more wisely sorting my life out.
I really appreciate your support. :beer:0 -

I wouldn't give them your email address - they have your address and legally they only need one method of contact for you and that can be your address.
I'd wait a while before sending the harrassment letters though and note the amount of times they call and then send the letters. You don't have to answer the phone - just make a note of number/time of call etc.
What I did when I started my dmp, was to ring each of my creditors once to explain the situation and that they would be hearing from CCCS and that they would see that they were getting all I could afford and that there was no point into entering into any further conversations with them from this point forward and that their calls will go unanswered but noted and classed as harrassment. Of course, they ignored me!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
