When I was in WHSmiths in Darlington a couple of weeks back they were telling people they only had the 20p resuable bags. Don't know if that was just a stocking issue with them on that day though.
I don't mind providing a bag for most things but I refuse to put new clothes into a reuseable bag as I want them to get home in a decent condition especially if I've spent quite a bit of money on them!
As Sheeps68 mentioned I'd also have to buy bin bags which means the actual amount of waste wouldn't be cut at all.0 -

My bin bags hold the equivalent of 5 or 6 carrier bags before they go in the wheelie bin so in my opinion the waste would be cut dramatically especially as I buy bio degradeable bin bags. (http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-local/frameset/detail/990227_d2w_Degradable_Swing_Bin_Liners__15.html)
1 bio degradeable bin bag is better than 5 or 6 carrier bags going into a landfillI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Cex have small paper bags for free, and the bigger plastic bags are free if you buy a big thing, but I think they charge a nomimal amount if it's small enough for a paper bag and you want plastic (at least the one in Southampton tried charging me for one)** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Hi everyone.
I really didn't want to start an arguement merely point out that WHSmith does not charge here for its bags. I was in a store today and asked for a bag and wasn't charged. Can we leave it there please.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
