Easyjet have recently changed their boarding system, probably because most people check in on-line.
This is from their page about boarding.
easyJet operates a strict priority boarding system and you will be boarded in the following order:
Group 1: Passengers who have purchased Speedy Boarding
Group SA: Passengers requiring special assistance and families (maximum 2 adults) where at least one child is aged 5 years or under.
Group 2: All other passengers
So you'll be fine without Speedy Boarding.0 -

Just a quick question about on-line check-in.
I'm actually taking hold luggage (under the plane). So how does that work? Do I still need to join the airport check-in queue? Thanks.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
As I understand it (only going on BMIbaby and Easyjet flights in the past) - you can't check in online if you have hold luggage - you need to check in when you get to the airport.
Although, right now on Easyjets online check-in instructions it says "If you are bringing hold luggage, drop it off at the designated desk before going to security" - so it looks like you can still check in online if you have hold luggage with Easyjet.0 -
Ryanair no longer has checkin desks at the airport you have to checkin online. At the airport they only have bag drop desks where they, weight and tag you hold luggage. Others are bound to follow suit.balletshoes wrote: »As I understand it (only going on BMIbaby and Easyjet flights in the past) - you can't check in online if you have hold luggage - you need to check in when you get to the airport.

Im not sure that you can check in online with an infant? Under twos have to go through normal check in dont they?
This may have changed but last year we went gatwick to lanzarote with easyjet and that was the case.
If you are an early morning flight you can check your luggage in the night before but i didnt bother and there were no queues at check in the next morning.
also i travellled with 5 children and didnt bother with speedy boarding- we all got seats together and no trouble at all.
hope that helps somwhat

Hello I travel with Easyjet at least once a month from Gatwick. I always check in online.
If you have luggage there is a "drop your bag / fast bag drop" check in desk (normally just a few people queuing there - if you leave from Gatwick is the last desk on the left) , or you can go to any check-in desk if you prefer.2017 wins over £50: Yorkshire break, Tefal Actifry0 -
I've been 'told' I have to check in online and print a boarding pass, or I'll be charged £40 on the day...........
So, I've now printed my boarding pass. Does that mean I'm 'checked in' or do I have to do something else?Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
