We're going to Lanzarote for christmas with our 1 year old. We havent paid extra for speedy boarding as when I travelled with easyjet a few years ago, they boarded those with children straight after the speedy boarders. Does anyone know if this is still the case, or is it worth paying the extra?

Yes still the case, but you will have to push your way through the others, families traveling with children aged 5 and under are boarded along with speedy borders, only issue is if you are bussed to the plane and in some places they fill the bus up with non- speedy borders!'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0

Thanks. I've been keeping an eye on the outbound flight & the price is steadily getting higher which leads me to think that the flight is nearing capacity. Oooh what to do! Try doing a booking for 6 or 8 people and see if it says there is space. Remember you are planning to go at one of the most expensive times of year.
If the prices have been rising my view would be 'bite the bullet nd book', then dont look at the prices again.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Don't keep putting in dummy bookings, as the more interest Easyjet get in a flight, the more they raise the prices!
But, to answer the initial question, you should be fine as families with young children ought to be some of the first to board and you will be automatically directed to a special queue.
What happens next varies, depending on the airport & boarding staff, sometimes its a free for all and sometimes it is well organised to ensure that those who need priority get it. But this is the case for those who have paid for "Speedy"(!) boarding too.

Oh i've already booked the flights. Just debating whether or not its worth the extra £23 to add the speedy boarding on or not.COMP WINS FOR HUBBY & I SINCE SEPTEMBER:2 £50 DOMINOS VOUCHERS, 13 PAIRS OF FOOTBALL TICKETS, MICROSOFT HOME EDTN, 2 PAIRS OF ALTON TOWERS TICKETS, 1 CASE OF PERCY PIGS, 1 PAIR OF LEATHER LADIES GLOVES, 4 COLLECTION 2000 PRODUCTS, PLAYSTATION 3 WITH FIFA 12, 5* HOTEL STAY IN LONDON, SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL DVD, PERFECT PIZZA VOUCHER0 -

Thanks. As I recall the last time I flew with them from Liverpool, it was a short walk outside to the aircraft. Me & my mum had paid for speedy boarding then (it was only £2.50 each, bargain!) & we were the only 2 who had it, & so we WERE 1st on, followed by the families. I think i'll leave it. I'm quite feisty, I dont mind elbowing people out of the way, lol!COMP WINS FOR HUBBY & I SINCE SEPTEMBER:2 £50 DOMINOS VOUCHERS, 13 PAIRS OF FOOTBALL TICKETS, MICROSOFT HOME EDTN, 2 PAIRS OF ALTON TOWERS TICKETS, 1 CASE OF PERCY PIGS, 1 PAIR OF LEATHER LADIES GLOVES, 4 COLLECTION 2000 PRODUCTS, PLAYSTATION 3 WITH FIFA 12, 5* HOTEL STAY IN LONDON, SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL DVD, PERFECT PIZZA VOUCHER0 -
I first flew with Easyjet last year, and was pleasantly surprised to find that as I was travelling with a child, I was directed to the line at the gate right behind the disabled one and the one where folk had paid for speedy boarding. It was the same on the flight back, but there was only one line, so they called for disabled, then speedy boarder boarding card holders, then "A" boarding card holders (which was us).0

No, we checked in online too, for both legs of the journey. The "A" was printed on our online boarding cards.0
