Ideally shouldn't I be setting up my own business etc.
Search out the schemes posted here & on other sites but avoid the "fast fix, easy money" ones. Online businesses are generally low on running expenses but a high turnover is required.
Money is not everything but it sure helps. " I don't want to be a millionaire just live like one".

Have you thought about how you are going to fund your university studies? Might be a good idea to do a budget now and start saving up if you can rather than get into debt.
There are ideas on here as others have mentioned that can see you earn some money.
Are there any interests you have that might help?
Good luck anyway, I wish I had your foresight when I was 18, but even more I wish I had the internet!:A0 -
Well I am very lucky in the sense that my parents are paying for all my tution costs as such so £2225 worth a year and I have saved in the region of £2500 to go towards my maintenance costs and plan to work whilst at university and intensively when I come out from uni in my local mill and hence quite confident that I will have a lot less debt than the average uni student.0

Yeah I perhaps need to get into computers more than I am doing etc. and business perhaps.
This is the plan so far...- Live at home - spend very little - I like the odd bet so £10 per month
- Get a job - keep applying for better jobs currently work at McDonalds (today I just go rejected by M&S I am actually really down about that my interview technique must have been terrible, but I will keep trying and put it down to experience
)
- On Weekends set up an online business of some sort - ebaying whilst trying to come up with an idea etc.
- Save up and invest my money into property - which then should produce me rent in which I can then begin to build my property portfolio.

Be careful about gambling as it can become addictive, but limiting yourself is a good idea if you can stick to it. Have you heard about betting arbitrages?
Keep applying for jobs, if you are getting to interviews then that's a plus and your technique will get better with practise.
Property is nice to have but needs to be approached with caution, but it's going to take you a while until you can afford that so no immediate issues there.:A0 -

Yeah I am actually really dissapointed with myself about the job thing to be honest, let myself down like.
Would you not suggest investing in property, shares instead and recieve dividends etc.?0 -
Property is safe.

if you would like to read about the kind of mind set that could help, you might find Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki helpful
I have already read it and it is a very good book, thank you anyway0
