I have been looking at the htc wildfire but i'm concerned that the screen resolution will be a problem because even the g1 had a higher screen resolution.

Also, after looking at this post, is it possible to haggle for the desire at £20 per month?

Which phone should i get?, i'm looking to spend £15 to £20 per month with internet allowance over 12/18 months?

as an upgrade customer in april/may three network had initially offered the desire to me for 15£ a month for 18m contract plus 150£ for phone for 500mins xnet plus 300mins 3-3 calls, 1gb internet. so yes 20£ is achievable. i took a plan with higher mins for a higher amount.

you could look at the samsung galaxy s too which has better hardware but has its flaws too. this probably might be easier to get and might be cheaper too.

  • I got the Desire for £167 + £10/month for 100 text, 100 mins, unlim land line, unlim internet + tethering when it came out in April.

One of my family now wants the same phone but this offers no longer seems available. If you do spot a good offer for the Desire (ie total cost over 24 months <£500) please post it.

T-mobile have an Android PAYG phone at £99 at the moment... (+£10 topup) if budget's the key thing for you. You get 6 months free internet too. You'll have to charge the phone daily though - the battery life is its worst aspect!

T-Mobile Pulse Mini is £79.99 at Argos.
Though you also have the mandatory £10 topup.

True, although that £10 seems to last a long time if you don't make a lot of calls - texts on mine seem to be free.

I got one on July 1st (they were £99.99 then), topped up £10 and I still have £7 odd left plus free texts and free internet.

You can get a Desire for £20 a month with an upfront payemnt of £80. When I got mine ti was £60 upfront and £20 a month for 18 months.

I don't think the screen resolution ont he Wildfire would be too much of an issue though. PC Pro gave it an excellent write up this month.
