My KH used to wee in the compost heap cos he was too lazy to come in and use the loo.:eek::eek:_pale__pale__pale_

Shortbird's believe it or not fact of the day: human wee and poo was used on compost heaps for some time... anything germy in the poo should die when the compost gets good and hot.

Nope, didn't think you'd believe me. The Centre for Alternative Technology has a lot of information on the subject. Enjoy your tea:D

    re the poo/pee

I have been told NOT to but human/dog/cat waste on garden compost heaps 9or used tissues come to that) because the compost *might* not get hot enough to kill germs but they can go on to be rotted down. I have always used waste from vegetraian pets in the compost bin though and I am told that wee is a very good accelorator, especially men's apparently. DS refuses to oblige though...*roll eyes*

Valli that wallpaper is gorgeous! And ur well is fab well done :T

Well the kids now have nice tidy bedrooms :) I have also packed all our towels and bedding ready for holiday. OH rang earlier and said that after the kids have done to bed we'll go up and start packing! I'm shocked. Normally all packing/organising is left to me so no matter how many lists or how early I start I'm always running round like a look the night before we go away! I think its a ploy just to get me in the bedroom before sleeptime:eek: oh well if he actually does help then maybe I could b persuaded :rotfl:

...at the risk of trying to teach someone with far more experience than me... only I had a screaming DD too...

have you tried swaddling her? I was desperate one night after five hours of walking with DD, and had to wake my mum up to help - she wrapped DD in a flanelette sheet, then a shawl, firmly but not tightly if that makes any sense, and she was settled within ten minutes. I was asleep two seconds after that!
