  • I give up :rotfl:

Arranged to get sewing machine serviced - should have been collected last Thursday - nothing

Phoned SM shop Friday - got the boss man - re-arranged for this Thursday. So today I went and got books from library so I could sit near front door 'on watch'

Door bell just rang - COURIER VAN! Well at least it has gone, but what would have happened if I had gone out to do things I couldn't do tomorrow because I had to stay in IYSWIM?

Just debating whether to phone shop to tell them what has happened.

Reporting back in late from my 2 HHCs - Decided to finish painting on stairs and landing. Stairs, skirtings and 3 doorframes done, only 4 more doorframes and loft hatch to go. I did also tidy round and do 15 mins in garden before I started. Just nomming lunch then will crack back on.

  • How did you do 365days?

I did toilet and sink in there, all paintwork and pipes in there, then as DD1 was in the bath gave her a choice 2 mins to finish or she would have to clean the bathroom:D She got out of the bath in 1 minute flat:( So have cleaned bath, tiles, sink, mirror, towel rails, blind pipes and woodwork:D

I need to empty TD then put another wash on,tidy away toys in front room then need to do shopping list before Education turn up at 2:eek:

As always very sensible Greenbee, hope the outing to the GUM clinic goes well - did you lecture Valli or was that her DS?
    It was her DS ;)

Just dropping in quickly. OH wants to give his son an allowance rather than him just being given cash on demand by his mum (trying to teach him financial responsibility). They're going to open a bank account this week, but he isn't sure how much to give him, as his mum doesn't appear to know how much is spent on what... Any suggestions as to how much a nearly-16-year-old just about to go into his last GCSE year should be given, and what items it should cover? (We know it will probably be a disaster to begin with, but if he runs out, he'll have to explain why...)

Still cleaning the flat madly, but we're almost done now - curtains and blinds are almost all up, and it's superficially OK!

Would depend on if you want it to cover his clothes, when my parents split up I was given my maintance money each month (about £40.00) a week and it had to cover my clothes, shoes and wash stuff (apart from basics)all my school uniform and if I needed any extra then I had to get a job an earn it. But nowadays I would expect to include mobile phone credit in it.

    :rotfl:

DD and DS1 both have their own bank accounts. DD gets £35.50/month at nearly 15. £10 for Air Cadets subs, £12 for mobile phone and £13.50 for spends. She then earns extra by working for me to cover anything else. I still buy her clothes and most of her essential toiletries but am considering paying her child benefit and another amount in this year to cover clothes too (and I'll just buy uniform). HTH x

    Hi all.

Late lunch break for me; I'm running rather later than is good today.:(

Soappie sending you strength-to-get-through-the-week vibes. Best of luck with the radio interview... You go girl!:T

Mummyslittleboy this website http://wiifit.com/training/strength-training.html will give you an idea of what's on WiiFit+. Ignore the American accent.... in this country you get a British-sounding trainer!;) If you click on the tabs saying Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics, Balance Games and Training Plus near the top you get a panel at the right on which you can select the individual exercises to look at. HTH.:o

Neveah I hope poor pudd'n-cat's leg is OK; glad she turned up alright, at least.

I'm all in favour of keeping any money that doesn't get removed from trouser pockets before they're put in the wash bin; unfortunately all Mr LW tends to leave in his are skanky hankies or scrappy bits of paper (not the money variety) which disintegrate into a thousand little bits.:(

Right, onwards and upwards; the loo awaits my attention. Deep joy!!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
