I got the slates it said, I have checked receipt with what I wrote down, I got what it said to get! am now sat here FURIOUS, the store is closed, my daughter has no where to sleep tonight and is crying as she was so excited about her bed!
Can I cut them down? Am I supposed to? Am so angry I cant think straight

Maybe you could put things in perspective and chill out - if this makes you furious I hate to think how you react when things really go wrong!
Call the store in the morning, if they are the wrong ones or faulty they will allow you to exchange them.
Edit: The Sultan Lade slats come in different sizes - did you pick the correct size?Gone ... or have I?0 -
As dmg give the store a ring in the morn if you start cutting things down you won't be able to exchange.0

I am furious because am going to have to put my aughter to bed in 1 hour-ish and all am going to hear is "NO, boo sleep in new bed" Oh yeah, she's going to go down REAL easy.
Ikea is a good half hour away, thats 1 hours of time, fuel just in travelling!
She's been jumping round "my new bed, my new bed", she's only 2, they dont really get "not tonight, the store have mucked up"The will to save every money saving penny we can0 -

Nope, still no reason to be furious. Seriously, have a glass of wine ... little one will quickly forget about new bed when she is faced with the novelty of sleeping on the floor.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Nip down to a 24hr tesco and get an airbed. Problem temporarily solved. Sort the rest with ikea tomorrow. These things happen!0

Doubt there will be any other than a Tesco express on a Sunday night. Never seen anything like an airbed there.
OP, couldn't she sleep in whatever she used last night? I realise she isn't happy, I understand that especially if she is moving from a cot, but I can't see what can be done.
I would ring them in the morning and see what they offer.0 -
If you have picked up slates they will be great for repairing the roof ...or take them back and get some slats ..but make sure you get the right size:)My posts are my opinion which is neither right nor wrong.0

Put the mattress on the floor, she can sleep on that."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
