Right, that was what i was thinking...
I guess there was that lax scorer that Izools mentionned (Sygma i think) which offers 0% on BT's...
My advice would be try them Bongo though you may need to PM/ask someone on the exact specifics as i have no idea.0 -

Just took a look at the SOA form. It asks about my partners income. We kind of keep our monies seperate from each other, apart from 1 joint account where an amount of money is paid to cover mortgage/bills from each of our own personal bank accounts. She earns quite a lot more than me and pays for the rest of the bills etc, so I'm very lucky there.
Do I fill in the bits that are relevant to just me?? ie miss the bits out that she pays for?
Thanks...

You need to post ALL income and ALL outgoings for the both of you. You are a couple and will therefore be tackling all debts together so that you can live a future life of debt free freedom:)MFW 2026 #50: £3,583.49/£25,00007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00

guys.... thanks for the advise so far. I'm working on a SOA but don't think the other half will be pleased at giving out info like that:(.
I've just spoke to virgin, and it looks like there is not a lot they can do for me as in their words, " I'm a relative new customer". The rep said that sometimes they can turn it into a loan with a fixed rate... but not in my case.
As I don't use this card for any transactions the only way I could reduce the monthly bill is to remove the payment protection cover @ $63.05 a month. Good move or bad? The rep said that a minimum payment would be around $110 a month if I went ahead and did this. Advice please?
Guess I'm learning the hard way about finances:(
On top of this, Santander/ A&L have just offered a load.......
Cheers..MB0 -

Dollars? Also 63.05 per month is a lot of money.
Reference the soa; no one actually knows who you are when you post. You need to face this together as you said previously they are going to become unmanageable. Could other half help to pay? If they earn more than you would it be possible for them to get a 0% card that some of this debt could be transferred to?MFW 2026 #50: £3,583.49/£25,00007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00

sorry...
as you may guess my spelling and this keyboard don't go hand in hand (no pound sign). It should say "offered a loan". I also like the idea of her applying for a 0% card as this would give a little breathing space to myself for a short while.
Thanks... MB0 -
well .... the other half has said that she will help me out by applying for a 0% balance transfer on a new credit card. Will whichever card we/she apply for get a bit suspicious with the application coming from the same address??
Thanks.... MB0 -
No, an application is not based on an address but on an individual...0
