What is this light?
I don't understand why a learner driver is not taught the workings and symbols on a car and you don't need to know them all for the test because although I know a few of them i don't know them all. I have tried looking on the internet of illustrations of a cars dashboard and the meanings of them but can't find anything.
I have a flashing light on my car and don't know what it is. It's stays flashing as i'm driving. It is an orange sun circle with an orange S in the middle. Can anyone tell me what it means?

Is the car automatic? Sounds like a gearbox problem...0

Yeah it's an Auto. So would it mean that I didn't have it in the right slot properly then?0

Is it a Vauxhall?0

Are you sure it's not the "sports mode" which usually entails pressing a button near the gear lever to turrn it on and off.0

Sports mode wouldnt flash, it would just stay on.
But yes, its the same light.0 -
Sounds like the SRS (Seatbelt Restraint System) may have a fault. eg: Seatbelts, Airbag etc.
Best taking it to a garage asap0 -

Do you not have a handbook/manual for the car?0

It sounds like a Vauxhall autobox warning. It can be as simple as the gearbox being low in fluid (although it doesn't actually use up oil), the selector switch is gunked up or the gearbox is on its way out. Either way, you have to have it checked out before it does any damage.0
