Problem with Google Mail on Hero

I have Set up Google Mail on my hero but when i delete them online(Laptop) its not updating on my E mail count on my phone but when i get e mails it adds them up on my hero.

Any advice please?

Hi, I do not use Hero, but use gmail on phone/PC. I noticed a bit of delay in Sync between them. For example, sending mail from computer and that mail only appears on sent box on phone few hours later or when I did data sync. Maybe I disable 3G connection off all the time and switch on Wifi to connect internet periodlically. Check your phone data sync setting. Even though mine ia set as automatic, I have to press data sync occasionally (you can tell when the last data sync made).
At least it lets me know when I got new e-mail so I am not that bothered

obviously synching will depend on your synching frequency. if you set up synching to occur once a day, it will synch once a day only. but you will still get pushmail if you set it up for pushmail. the gmail app is pushmail and probably synch better than the htc app.

btw a new version of the gmail app was released recently that allows copy pasting and a number of other things.
