I've never been able to understand how some people can get the posts on so quickly.

I'd like to ask a question, not sure if this is the right place or not??

So sorry in advance if it is the wrong place to ask :o

What do the abbreviations which are used on alot of the posts mean such as DH, DD, DS? I presumed it was maybe daughters husband, son, daughter etc but then for some of them I can't think what they stand for?

    :)

    Thanks toniq,

I was aware of the obvious ones but it was the dd's and ds's etc that were getting me.

I'm about as good with internet slang as I am with text speak..lol

    But hopefully I'll improve. :D

    BarnabySue, boardguides and everyone,

I am sooooooooooooo incredibly sorry for posting dupes of whatsontv comps this morning.

I had searched under whatsontv, and couldn't find any current comps apart from the polaroid one and, if I remember, 2 others. I was surprised that they were not on and figured that since I couldn't find them I might as well post them for everyone. I actually thought that they hadn't been posted because of the website changes (most of the old whatsontv comps lead to an error page with a telly on it).

I've just checked again, after getting BarnabySue's pm (thank you so much btw:beer:), searching for whatsontv and found the whole lot posted by elverman! :o

I think I'll just stick to entering instead of posting - I should have known that others are on the ball with it.

I've put "sorry dupe" in the relevant post titles so that they'll be ignored.

    I can only apologise profusely.

    T

I wouldn't worry about it, we all do it! xxx There's nothing wrong with trying to help, i'm sure people appreciate that, also with those i'm sure u r told if u have already entered. xxx

When I first started posting I used to bug Rickyuk ( an old mser who has moved to Australia) to check before I posted as i was that nervous of a dupe, but got to the stage of feeling more confident with searching after playing with how to search for a while, I still often, check, check again, and then answer check before i post xxxx

  • I have just realised with horror that 4 months today it will be Christmas:eek: . To help me with my shopping list I would really love to win any of the following :

    1. X-box or PS3 for my boys
    2. Kids DVDS
    3. Supermarket vouchers to help with the "big" shop
    4. Ipod
    5. DVDS, CDs for DH
    6. Smellies for my mum

Failing that a £10 amazon voucher would really help;)
