We had went to the same one for a few years in a row Jay but we turned up last year & they were ripping all the seats out the place:o
Loads of the returants round here are closing down at the moment its a real shame one had been here for 40 years too & was our very special occasion/feeling rich resturant
The other one where we always went for b/days, anniversarys & a hogmany meal once we stopped going to 'do's' has also shut down:(

feeling a bit better now skippy - just in time to go back to work tommorow:rotfl::rotfl:

Agree about restaraunts/takeaways struggling at the moment my local takeaways quality of food has gone down to the point I don't order very often now " cost cutting". Even my local pub is quiet it used to be heaving over Xmas. Bring back the good days, its the taxes/ bad banks that are killing the economy.

I have query please.. I'm on Facebook and someone called Tony Martin has sent a friend request but I'm a bit dubious about it.

His message read:

I looked up the link to -www.stranraeranddistrict.co.uk and it mentions being featured on MSE???
The other link he has on his profile is for ukcompers.co.uk which is now dead. (Although google will preview one page which most security settings would disallow!)

Oh and the forum link goes to a site with suspect initials...

Does anyone know him??Or is he just pulling chains?
