My OH has now been on the road for 8 1/2 hrs to travel 6 miles & reckons he will be at least another hour!!!!!!

It's like a scene from the day after tommorow here

Ah yes 6 1/2 hours it took me to get home, had to abandon the car and start walking. It was like the aftermath of a nuclear fallout round here with cars stranded and people walking down the middle of the road. Schools closed again tomorrow, nightmare.

    :hello: Everyone,

Hope all is well,I have had a good day today :). I went out to bank a cheque and then on to Asda to get a loaf of bread for myself.Came out armed with two 3ft White Chiristmas trees £1 each and some decorations at 15p and 20 clear lights for each of the two trees £1 each and box of twilight for my Mum £1.

I went to my parents to take the xmas tree and chocs to my Mum and then Dad took me back home in the car.I surprised them as I didnt say I was coming so we had to sit in the car until the windscreen defrosted for Dad to drive safely.

I have had a nice evening putting up my xmas tree and it looks lovely.I checked the lights work and they do and look lovely on the tree.

    chat tomorrow!

    love and light,

    Katie xxx

Glad your OH home safely fin. Just been watching motorway pics on the news - scarey. My kids have just had a great time out in the snow. They got making a snowman for the first time and are hoping schools will close tomorrow!

i dont have car /driving/travel probs but......

i was gutted cos gs has to carry two life saving injections 24/7 & they must not drop below 5c or heat over 25c
they dont make protective covers to stop the elements freezing or over heating ....so then he's at great risk if he goes out and they dont work :(
he wanted out to play in the snow with friends chucking a few snowballs
it was minus 3 when he left
try keeping a 16yr old in
he says he wont be sitting in, we had a tiff
he said ive to leave him to make his own choices
sure but when its life threatening, he should show common sense
however in this day of technology, i dont see why they havnt came up with a protective cover, he cant take a bag out when sledging etc
i was so stressed out, hes home ok
but now i dont know if pens dropped below 5c?
doc wont keep renewing them willy nilly

im fed up, skint & need a huge win
