Perhaps a moderator or someone could confirm there is an actual problem with the site otherwise everyone will think it's their PCs.
Other sites work fine so it is definately a problem with this site.

I agree with you. As for this site - the owner is too busy showing his face & his "money saving" advise to TV channel(s) he takes all the credits from other posters:rotfl:

Say I went in there on a Monday to do all the "weeklies" one week. I would then have to go there the next Monday at exactly the same time in order to do the next week's "weeklies". If I was busy and didn't get round to this until Thursday or something, I would miss out on all competitions that ran from Wednesday to Wednesday. The same goes for "monthlies", not all of them start/finish at the start/finish of the month. If competitions are posted separately with separate end dates this isn't a problem. I am specifically talking about "weeklies" and "monthlies" at the moment as I know there have been issues brought up about "dailies" such as ClassicFM being posted like this.
also if a comp runs weds to weds you would catch it on the monday as it would have started the weds previously..after you had entered the week before, but before the current week ended. the only time that would be a problem is if say you entered them on the weds when you may then miss both weeks depending on timing. or have to go and enter the same one twice to get the previous weeks and the new weeks answers in.

Sorry for putting this like this, but this is what I meant:

Mon I do my weeklies on the Monday
    Tues
Wed Competition A opens for one week
    Thu
    Fri
    Sat
    Sun
    Mon I'm busy
    Tues Still busy
    Wed Competition A closes
Thu I get round to doing my weeklies
    Fri
    Sat
    Sun

In this case I would miss out. However if it had been posted on the main board with an end date I would have picked it up while I'm working through the comps by end date.

I think my points are getting slightly lost. Good to hear everyone's opinions though. I'm also still worried about the lack of "entered" button on competitions posted in one thread and the lack of being able to see what the prize is.

With the regards to the whole one thread per competition mag/site. You can only use the enter button on the first post, so you will need to subscribe in order to know if a thread has been updated with a next comp, you will have to use the thanks button from then on, which kinda makes the efforts gone to to create an enter button kinda a waste of time. Also if subscriptions dont update which they sometimes dont then you are still at risk of missing out on comps.

I'm not sure how I feel on the whole lets move x,y and z to the regulars board either. It seems like a few people agree with Glad and so its being given the go ahead. I would like to know what the other BG's opinion is as obviously they have more experience of the comps board, wasn't diva one of the ones to set it up? (no offence to you Glad, i think its great you are showing such interest :) ) Also not all regulars get moved over, the Glamour Daily for etc has always been on the main board.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
