Just an idea here. As Glad is going to have her work cut out going through all the old comps on the regulars board, would it help, if some of us were to try them out and then bump the old threads to say "I have checked this one out and it is still current"? I know that normally unwanted bumping of posts is discouraged, but as a once off exercise, perhaps it would help Glad out. What do others think?

the reg threads ie dailies, advents weeklies and monthlies contain links to a thread for each comp. go have a look and clicky on one or two then you will see.

the regular board as it is doesnt work on the whole. threads like the daily sugar comp are correctly posted there but others that could/should be are not. and we all have different opinions of what counts as regular and what therefore should go in there.

agree with whoever it was said regular sequential end dates could go in one thread...that would cover most of the comps im thinking are regular and kinda explains what i was attempting to but badly earlier, thanks

I agree blackmidnight it would be a good idea as not many of the regular compers will be visiting this thread so it really makes our minority views quite meaningless

a poll on the main board would get every comper involved and I feel changes should only be made if the majority support it

it would also be nice to see MSE being democratic for once by not forcing changes upon MSE'rs but implementing changes that MSE'rs really want

i would hate the magazine comps being on one thread. I find the hardest comps to enter now are the puzzler ones because it takes me ages to find where i last left off.
also the enter button is only valid on the first post. so if it was posted today, 20/11 and i clicked enter, then next week's are posted as post 2, it would still show that i had entered when actually i hadn't

I normally go in at the last page and keep entering them backwards until I get to the last one that I thanked.

Sorry am going to stick my nose in here, I don't use the regs board that much as I get lost in there lol
but whatever dicisions are made please can we wait till after Christmas, will normal dailies and advents plus an influx of other comps things will be very complicated which isn't needed.
