I dont have a landline and use an old PAYG mobile which I keep specifically for all my comp entries which means I can filter out the crap! Doesn't seem to have hampered my chances of winning anything so far.DFW 228 LONG H 68

Hi, I've just had a look at the OK website and noticed that their comps are run by TopFox, which is listed on MSE as being spammy. Once you log in to enter a comp there is a notice at the bottom of the page to say that they comply with European anti-spam laws, do you think this willl still generate a lot of spam?
I'm just curious as I think they must have changed the comps on their website - a month or so ago I posted an OK comp for a camera which another member of MSE won. At the time of posting the comp no-one mentioned to me about TopFox so I wonder if they've recently started using them instead of running the comps themselves.2013: Interflora Vouchers, Christmas Decorations, NNUK goody bag, thermos flask, macwet gloves0 -

Thanks for your help Amilucky. Had a quick look at the comp I posted and it seems to have been one linked to FB.

Glad someone from here won it anywayI'll keep clear of the OK ones, it's hard to keep up with all the newsletter subscriptions I end up with as it is!

Hi all,
I hope this is in the right place, I didn't know where else to put it, but it is just a general enquiry.
I am a member of a few of the competition sites, like getmeaticket etc. and i was wondering if anyone had an opinion on whether or not signing up to the offers when entering the competitions made any difference to the chance of winning??
I am sure that officially it doesn't, I was just looking for opinions really, I have entered roundabout 500 competitions now in total on those sites, and I haven't won a thing!
I never sign up to the offers, but wondered whether or not maybe doing this would make a difference.
Thanks in advance for your opinions
David

I'm really hoping that one day something will just appear!

ive had stuff turn up just with normal postie, needing signed for as recorded/special delivery and also by various couriers. in other words they arrive any which way lolSwanlander wrote: »Does anyone think just putting a mobile number instead of a landline telephone number puts you at a disadvantage over people who do put in a landline number?
