How long did it take for you to have your first win? how often do you enter comps and which ones do you enter? are you selective and only enter for prizes you actually want to win?

I've just got into comping and really would like to hear peoples experiences.

i only tend to enter for things i would actually want, or could use, no point in me entering a comp for say make up when im a guy...haha. i enter as many as i can in a hour or so a day.

as for winning, i must've entered about 100 comps so far, not won a thing though, i never win anything though me, lol.

I started about five months ago and the only thing I've won so far is a pair of tickets to the Love Cooking show in London. However, I never win anything either so I was quite chuffed with those! :-D

I only enter comps for things I would like or family members would enjoy
but I've only won local comps.

My daughter won a Playstation when she was little, and they'd just come out - she opened a pack of snacks and found a token.

I was on a knockout quiz on Essex Radio at Hogmonay - and got to the semi-final - I'd been sipping whisky at each round, so by the time it got to midnight I was fairly squiffy - I was given a voucher to buy a Dewhurst Turkey.

I won a huge gift set of Decleor products in a travel make-up bag by buying raffle tickets for Great Ormond Street Hospital at our local optician.

A few months ago I won an absolutely enormous hanging basket stuffed with flowers - still flowering away - in local newspaper comp.

I've only been doing competitions since july, had my 1st win in september (a laptop), since then i've won £20 petrol voucher, whiskey tumblers & iphone.
I only enter competitions for things I would like or I know someone else who would like it.
