Hi lhb123,
Thanks for your post.
Don't worry about the odd miserable !!!!!!. You're first post was fine.
We are a community here to help each other.
I personally can't find a flight that suits me but it gave me another link worth putting on my favourites. It may help me in future.
If you genuinley think you can help someone with a post then do it. Not all posts are for everyone but as long as they help someone then don't worry.
As for the wording of your title, you do need to be careful as some posts waste a lot of time.
In this case I didn't see anything wrong with your post. As previously mentioned, did any fool think they were getting a flight to Florida for 20p!
It might of helped if the title said £145 with taxes, but your first post gave people the opportunity to find out for themselves.
All in all a good first post I think.
Keep it up.

Of course not, but that's missing the point, which has been made many times now.MattOsprey wrote:As previously mentioned, did any fool think they were getting a flight to Florida for 20p!

Dont let people on here get to you, i appreciate your post, although i wish it had been in offer when ours were booked at £600 person, ignore the people that want you to do the hard work for you, they'll be asking you to wipe their bums next, don't let it be your last post!!:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Dont worry lhb123 some of us found it useful, it indeed still works out a bargain when you add the extras, its just a shame some readers cant do maths and literally expect to know what the weather will be like, what number seat they will be given, and if the pilot has a bald head.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Even with tax those prices are dirt cheap, wish I could go. Unfortunately that's the week I go back to work after being off work since January. Talk about Sod's Law!0

And who might that be then? It's surprising the amount of rubbish that's being spouted in defence of the idiotic title of this thread.marleyboy wrote:its just a shame some readers cant do maths and literally expect to know what the weather will be like, what number seat they will be given, and if the pilot has a bald head.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
There's only one troll on this thread..
The base price is 20p each way.
It's a bargain.
Base prices are the way the airline industry displays prices, so why shouldn't the OP?
You'll be telling us next that the cost to the environment due to the amount of CO2 guffed out of the engines should be posted as well, as that's surely part of the cost as well isn't it???

I dont want to point out the obvious - at the time of writing, 28 people thanked the original poster, and no doubt countless others appreciated the post and didn't thank them.
Therefore it's a perfectly valid post.
A lot of posts state that something costs £x + p&p, nobody bangs on about not stating exactly how much p&p is.
From my experience, £150 is a bargain, i've never seen them less than £275.0 -
UK taxes are only about £15 and then you add on the US taxes but they are nowhere near £145. So what you have is perhaps £30 of taxes and £125 of fees which is used by the airline to cover the cost of the flight.0

i think its a fantastic price although these airlines prices are misleading. having to pay £145 in taxes and charges is over the mark and should be questioned.0
