Sim only contracts

Hi,
I just wondered if sim only contracts can help repair your credit history? I've got a poor history and i'm trying to repair it so what is the likely hood i'll be accepted for the contract?
Thanks
SIM only contracts have no impact whatsoever on your credit rating. You are prepaying for your usage so there is no credit involved0 -
Thanks for the reply, i thought you pay at the end of the month rather than before you get the SIM?
Ah right, you are not talking about PAYG, my apologies. Yes on a SIM only contract you do pay at the end of the month, but you still go through the same credit checks as you would for a contract with Phone and SIM.
Only benefits to a SIM only contract are that they reduce the standard monthly rate to account for the fact that they do not have to provide a phone with an artificially inflated value :-)0 -

Ah okay thank you. Are they a bit more lenient with credit checks when applying for a sim only contract just because of the fact the contract doesn't come with a phone? If they aren't why would this be seeing as they don't really risk anything other than a sim that you can get for free anyway?

Not really. You get a sim with x minutes included for £y per month, but you pay the out-of-bundle charges next month. So, 12 hours calling South America works out at how much at the end of the month???????0
