i bought an app from app store which does not work as it described, report a problem to Apple but they say
please contact application developer
we have taken note of the problem for our records. however we are not able to provide support, you have to contact developer
If Apple is responsible for selling app they will have to responsible for the communication between the developer.
Thanks

What app is it and what's wrong with it?0

If you bought a computer game for your pc and it didn't work (assuming there was nothing physically wrong with it, that is) you would probably not complain to the pc manufacturer... you'd go to the game developer's site to see if there was a patch to fix the problem.
This is the same sort of thing - the apps just run on Apple devices, but they aren't made by Apple. If you contact the developers they will be happy to help I expect - after all, it doesn't do their reputation any good if their products don't work. My son writes apps, and the company he works for has an on-line forum for users to raise problems. They are always pleased to have bugs pointed out; no matter how much these things are tested before release, there are always bugs that aren't caught.0 -
The apps are not made by apple therefore you go to the people who made it0

As you bought he app from apple its there problem. Your contract is with Apple not he app designer. If you buy a car from a dealer and its not fit for purpose the dealer has to fix it not the manufacturer.0

that's strange Argos and Tesco they get item refunded within 7 days or 30days if we are not happy. Why dont Apple cannt have like this. In my case apps is even not working correctly fails many times. Then why do they have a team to review the apps. They should be responsible for this in my opinion.0 -
You need to contact the app developer. Apple do test the apps. I beta tested one that was refused many times because of minor faults however there is always a chance that apple will not follow the right path to cause a crash. Hence the reason ypu need to tell the app developer so that they can attempt to replicate the problem and hopefully fix it.
How are they supposed to stop other people from experiencing the same issue, and to prevent it from happening again if you dont tell them about it.
Oh and as an after thought have you rebooted your idevice??MoneySpendingExpert0 -

Did Apple write the description? Probably not.
Did they test it? Probably.
If I bought a PC game from, say, Currys, and I wasn't happy with it (i.e., the advertising mis-represented the game), then I'd expect a refund from Currys.
The app isn't faulty, just 'does not work as it described'
Surely you have 7 days from purchase to cancel the contract, aka get a full refund?IT Field Service Engineer, 20 years with screwdriver and hammer0 -

But hard-copy software bought in boxes does not carry that assurance - shops will not refund you for that game or opened software. I have no idea how that has managed to stand-up legally but there is no reason why a downloaded App would be treated differently.0
