    Most solicitors will give a free initial consultation and if you choose a good one he/she will be able to advise what your claim might be worth.

    You may find it easier and less confrontational to ask the solicitor to pursue the claim and his fees will be born by your employer's insurer.

    Over in DT lots of people seem to advocate banning compensation as a method of reducing insurance premiums
