PAYG with NO monthly charges

Have a cheap Samsung mobile SGH C120 bought approx 4 years ago. Used for emergecies only and maybe topped up with £10 about 3 times a year ( no monthly charges ) Are there still similar cheap mobiles with no enforced monthly tarrifs / top up charges ???

As with all PAYG mobile phone deals, the number needs to be kept active by making a regular chargeable call or sending a text.

If there is no activity for 180 days approx., the SIM will get disconnected, put into the recyling pool ready to be be returned to the originating network.

If there has been no chargeable call made, not just receiving a call, you will lose your credit and number.

Thanks for comments. Approx 6/8 calls/texts in/out per month so there is a a regular, if somewhat limited use, per month. I guess from your comments that all PAYG mobiles now have some top up charges per month !!

No, no monthly charge, just put some credit on the phone, make a chargeable phone call / send a text every 180 days and your credit won't expire. If you make 6 calls or texts out per month then you credit will reduce by the cost of those each time you use the phone. When your credit runs out top-up again, next month, next year who knows.

There are no monthly charges for any pay as you go phone. Whatever the network. Unless you add on a bundle.
