hope some one can help
went and bought my new lappy last night,toshiba in the end after reading loads on here lol
my old aol disk it dosnt seem to like so cant load that(dad says it dosnt like windows 7???)
and for the wireless its asking for a network security key?
i have no idea, someone else set my last wireless up for this computer would he have put a code in?(i cant get hold of him but keep trying)
any ideas please, im dying to play with it lol
and i must read and find what free virus stuff i need on there too
never mind the ststem recovery disc it says to do!!!
oh dear i fear i will be very confused lol

if its a wireless router then you just need to look at "available networks" for your one , click on connect and then enter the wireless key ( normally on a sticker on the back of the wireless router)

easiest way to find your wireless key is to log onto your router and get it from there...what make/model router is it, and then we can help

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

this is good advice as long as the friend who set the OP up used the pre-defined SSID/key combo and didn't change it to something easier to remember - first thing I always do with a new router is change the SSID/key, hence why I suggested logging into the router and reading it off (or resetting it if it's blobbed-out

You don't need to use the AOL disk. My ISP is AOL and I use Firefox.
The password is likely to be on back of Router (mine is a Speedtouch provided by AOL) approx 11 digits.
I would advise not installing the AOL browser. You can still access your AOL email via a Firefox/IE Add-on, such as Simple Mail0
