  • Hiya everyone,

Determined, I went over to the OS board to get the link for the home made xmas pressies but it's gone!! I've tried various searches but can't find it anywhere which is annoying as I didn't write any of it down!!! :(

Weather's been ace here, blue sunny sky so took advantage of the nice weather and went to a park and had a picnic with DS :)
My list for the weekend: -
    • [STRIKE]check on-line banking[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]check surveys[/STRIKE] none
    • [STRIKE]buy plimsoles for DS for nursery (completely forgot and he goes back on Wednesday!!!)[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]food shop for week per meal planner - don't need much as did big shop last week so should be under £20[/STRIKE] overspent by about £6 :(
    • make HM pizza tomorrow for tea (with spare base into freezer)
    • [STRIKE]cheap activity with DS - not sure what yet[/STRIKE] completely free (park and picnic as took sandwiches etc from the house) :D
    • [STRIKE]hang out load of washing to dry[/STRIKE] managed to hang out 2 before we went out
    • [STRIKE]tea tonight per meal planner[/STRIKE]
    • think of things to do over the next week as it's meant to rain :(
    • just decided to give banana cake a go in the BM. I had a couple of black bananas left and would usually throw them out but whoever makes banana muffins (can't remember who, sorry!!) gave me the idea, cheers!!! :)
I was having a browse on the old style board last night and came across a thread called home made xmas presents... there are some really good tips in there. I'm definitely going to give some of the ideas a go this year as my Christmas pressie bill is usually ridiculous!! Included it in my annual budget for the first time this year after joining MSE and got quite a shock :o.

The banana cake/loaf is soooo nice!!! Took some on the picnic but there's still a few slices left, don't know if it'll last the night though, def making that again :D

Chilled night for me again, have a good one everyone :) x

Good Morning (or should that be afternoon) Everyone,

I had a long lie this morning and feeling a bit better.

So far today I have check emails.

    Still to do today:
    • [STRIKE]Attend local show[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Quick shower[/STRIKE]
    • Complete copywriting work (seem to have a lot to do today)
    • Catch up with lightspeed
    • [STRIKE]Catch up with the laundry[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Do some more ironing[/STRIKE]
    • Sort work schedules for Mon, Tues and Wed
    • [STRIKE]Check banks[/STRIKE]
    • Empty the rest of the bags from the camping trip
    • Look into prices for self catering accomodation on Isle of Mull
I think this will be enough to do today.

    Happy Saturday to everyone.

I don't know where today has gone I don't seemed to have stopped but at the same time I have got nothing done. Oh well I will hopefully get more done on Sunday. Hope everyone has a good Saturday night.

Oh I LOVE Mull! Have you been before? I know you said self-catering but the most gorgeous campsite is on Fidden Farm! Check out the views: http://www.scottishcampingguide.com/gallery.php?n=194

Thanks for that, I will take a look at the website. Yes I went for a day trip earlier this week and I used to work over there. It's a really nice place. My son and partner enjoyed thier first visit earlier this week.

  • Morning all

Didn’t get round to posting yesterday, but had a quick lurk in the evening :p.

Went into town yesterday and met up with a friend. Had a lovely time and she even paid for my lunch as a thank you for helping her out with some stuff :D.

Afterwards I had a wander around the shops on my own and managed to pick up a pair of trousers for work reduced from £20 to £8 :D. Am sooo pleased to finally have a decent pair of trousers as the pair they’re replacing have had a broken zip for months which I’ve cunningly held together with a hidden safety pin :o ….very DFW methinks!

Also bought two books from the CS and some shower gel (we’ve run out of soap) on two for one at B00ts. So all in all a very good day :).

Well done on getting the wedding dress littlekel you must be so excited :D.

Need to focus today to catch up, so:

    • Quick shower (when I eventually decide to get out of bed :))
    • Check bank & update spreadsheet
    • Surveys
    • All meals from stores
    • HC and line dry (lovely and sunny here at the moment)
    • Ironing for the week
    • Pick up a few essentials – bread, milk, sandwich fillings etc
    • Sort out my ebay turbolister as it won’t upload
    • Possibly watch a LF film later so I can return it tomorrow
Can't think of anything else at the mo...

Back later to update, have a lovely day everyone :).

    Morning!
Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the rare sunshine?
I think we're off for another walk from the National Trust book this afternoon so trying to make the most of the dry weather. Its just a shortish one again - 2 hours or so I think.

Went out last night with some friends for a few drinks and a curry - quite enjoyed it and didn't spend too much - about £20 in total so not too bad.

    Right, today's efforts...
    • Wake OH up and give him his birthday presents and cake
    • Walked dog already - big walkies later!
    • Update diary
    • Put some money in the pots I bought yesterday for car insurance and Xmas
    • Hoover upstairs
    • Clean bathrooms
    • One load of washing and dry naturally
    • Go to OH's parents for birthday tea
    • Try to buy a bag on ebay if it doesn't get too expensive - closing later today
That's it for now - have a good day!
